COUNTDOWN: OFF ROAD HALF IRONMAN #TRI SOLO #70.3

A week from today will be a big step in my obsession with off road triathlon. A 70.3 mile half-ironman, off road, self-supported solo. Excited doesn’t even begin to capture it! 1.2 mile open water swim (Canandaigua), 56 mile mountain bike (Greenway), 13.1 mile trail run (FLT Letchworth)… Wish me luck!

Well, it’s been a few days since successfully completing my first ultra. Obviously, I’ve been layin’ low. Wasn’t sure how my body would react since a 40 mile trail run is twice the distance I’ve put my body through before, but so far, so good! Am I hooked on ultras now? Um, very, very much!
